The Brains Combined

How They Work Together:

Think of these three brains as a connected team of specialists, each with their own role:

  1. Step 1 – Intellectual Brain (The Thinker): Sparks the process by coming up with a new idea or question.

    • Example: “What makes people happy?”

  2. Step 2 – Contextual Brain (The Grounder): Jumps in with relevant facts, context, and background to give the idea depth.

    • Example: “Studies show happiness often comes from strong relationships, a sense of purpose, and gratitude.”

  3. Step 3 – Metacognitive Brain (The Coach): Evaluates the interaction between the Intellectual and Contextual Brains. It asks:

    • Are we asking the right question?

    • Are we looking at this with enough context?

    • Is there a better way to organize or connect this information?

  4. Loop Back: The Metacognitive Brain may suggest the Intellectual Brain refine the question or push the Contextual Brain to explore other areas. The process continues until a meaningful understanding or action plan emerges.
